I have spent more than ten years teaching mathematics in international schools, and I currently lead a mathematics department. Day to day I teach, mark and moderate the same Edexcel IGCSE Higher papers your child sits.
That matters for one reason: I know where the marks actually go. Not just the method — the working an examiner needs to see, the phrasing that earns the mark, and the handful of question types that quietly decide a grade 7 from a grade 9.
